In return for paying 12 months in advance, you obtain reduced pricing. For example, instead of paying $11.99 per month for YouTube Premium (which works out to $143.88 over 12 months), you can pay $107.99 once and save $35.89, or 25%, on an annual membership from now until January 23rd. After January 23rd, the one-time fee for a one-year membership will be $119.99, a savings of $23.89 or 16.6%.

Pay for 12 months of YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium in advance to save money.

Remember that a YouTube Premium membership also includes a YouTube Music Premium subscription. YouTube Music may be subscribed to independently. Instead of paying $9.99 per month (or $119.88 over 12 months) for YouTube Music Premium, you can pay $89.99 in advance for an annual membership and save $29.89, or 25%, from now on until January 23rd. A yearly membership will cost $99.99 after January 23rd, saving you $19.89 or 16.6 percent.

Only the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Thailand, India, and Japan have yearly YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscriptions. Users in India may sign up for an annual plan that will commence when their existing 1-month or 3-month prepaid plan ends. If you already have a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium membership and wish to upgrade to an annual plan, you must first cancel your existing subscription.

On Android, you may sign up for a yearly YouTube Premium membership by following these steps:

  • Open the YouTube app on your device.
  • Get YouTube Premium by on the profile image in the top right corner.
  • Tap On a yearly, family, or student plan. You can save money.
  • To finalize your purchase, tap Get Annual Plan and follow the instructions.

Follow these steps to sign up for a YouTube Music Premium yearly membership on Android:

  • Open the YouTube Music app on your device.
  • After that, touch your profile picture and then Get Music Premium.
  • Tap. A yearly, family, or student plan may help you save money.
  • To finalize your purchase, tap Get Annual Plan and follow the instructions.

Go to the Paid Memberships area of your account after you’ve subscribed to either a yearly plan (or both) to discover when your annual membership services expire. These subscriptions do not auto-renew, so if you want to keep going forward for another year after your yearly membership ends, you’ll have to repeat the subscription procedure.

You cannot subscribe to YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium on an annual basis using the YouTube or YouTube Music iOS applications if you have an iOS device. To get started, you’ll need to sign up for a yearly membership using a mobile web browser or a computer. After that, you’ll be able to check in to both plans using your iOS device.

Another point to consider is that if you’re paying $7.99 per month for YouTube Music Premium because of a grandfathered Google Play Music account, you’re better off paying the monthly amount rather than the reduced yearly pricing.

YouTube videos are ad-free and may be seen when using other applications or while your screen is locked with YouTube Premium. You may also save videos to your smartphone to watch when you’re offline or have limited data. You may listen to your favorite songs ad-free, offline, and even while the screen is closed with YouTube Music Premium.

You’ll appreciate Premium if you dislike it when YouTube shuts off a video every time you open a new app. And, although we don’t want to repeat it, keep in mind that YouTube Premium, including the Annual Membership, includes a YouTube Music Premium membership. You may also subscribe to the latter without having a YouTube Premium account.
